The brand’s flagship SUV hasn’t been reinvented, but it has easily been improved with some nifty off-road-enabling technologies, a new platform, and a smaller but more powerful engine. The 2022 Land Cruiser will ride on the TNGA platform and house a twin-turbo 3.5L V6 with a ten-speed automatic, the new engine makes 409 horsepower.
Adventure begins where the road ends. Traversing snow, dirt, mud, sand, and rock, or crawling over uneven surfaces to get to that perfect out-of-way-location is no problem in a vehicle designed for the ultimate off-road experience. Toyota has also fitted it with adaptive variable suspension and an electronically controlled kinetic dynamic suspension stabilization (E-KDSS) system.
Getting to the back of beyond has never been so comfortable. Heated seats and four separate zones of climate-controlled air conditioning will keep you cool while you take the road less travelled. Wireless charging, USB ports, and power outlets will keep you connected with the outside world, and you can access your apps with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto.
The Land Cruiser’s powerful, clean lines communicate the SUV’s great strength, together with greater sophistication and maturity. Inside, the cabin projects a higher level of sensory appeal in a space where the driver and passenger can feel comfortable and safe, regardless of how tough the driving environment is. Safety features include Dynamic radar Cruise Control, Brake Assist (BA), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Active Traction Control (ATRC), and Pre-Collision System (PCS), part of the Toyota Safety Sense package.
